The management of the Kerrick Sports Sedan Series is pleased to announce that the fastest tin tops in Australia will feature amongst the support classes of the May 15-17 V8 Supercar round to be held at the Victorian venue in 2015.

A field of 30 plus racers are expected for what will be round two of the series’ 2015 five-round calendar.

“The Kerrick Sports Sedan Series, the Victorian Sports Sedan Association and the National Australian Sports Sedan Association (NASSA) are together confident of bringing a wide variety of more than 30 entrants to Winton Motor Raceway in May for what is sure to be a great event,” said NASSA President and Kerrick Sports Sedan Series director, Phil Crompton.

“Around a number of national circuits including at Winton Motor Raceway, the top Kerrick Sports Sedan Series racers can lap faster than the V8 Supercars themselves, so we are sure the fans will enjoy the frenetic racing and exhilarating speed these cars and drivers will put on show.”

With this marquee event now secured for the Series in 2015, the Winton Motor Raceway event will replace the previously scheduled Mallala Motorsport Park event in this year’s Kerrick Sports Sedan Series calendar – with that event officially confirmed as cancelled earlier this month by the Shannons Australian Motor Racing Nationals, of which the Series is a part. In 2015 the Kerrick Sports Sedan Series will feature a five-round calendar, including four as part of the Shannons Nationals, taking in venues across Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales.

The 2015 season – the eleventh with support from Kerrick, the industrial cleaning equipment specialists - will kick off for the high-powered sedan series across the 27th to the 29th of March at Victoria’s Sandown Raceway, before travelling to Winton Motor Raceway as part of the V8 Supercar festivities across May 15-17.

The series will then head to Queensland Raceway across the 7th to the 9th of August, before travelling to New South Wales for both of its last two rounds of the calendar – first at Wakefield Park in October (16-18) and then to Sydney Motorsport Park for the 13-15 November finale.

The Kerrick Sports Sedan Series is one of the most exciting on the annual Shannons Australian Motor Racing Nationals calendar, pitting a range of ‘wild and winged’ modified sports sedans and Trans-am spec cars against each other. Part of The Nationals since its inception in 2006, the Kerrick Sports Sedans represent the fastest tin-tops in Australia and in some cases, the fastest outright cars on a number of national circuits. In 2015, the Kerrick Sports Sedan Series will contest five national circuit racing events:

  • Round One – 27-29 March 2015 – Sandown Raceway
  • Round Two – 15-17 May 2015 – Winton Motor Raceway
  • Round Three – 7-9 August 2015 – Queensland Raceway
  • Round Four – 16-18 October 2015 – Wakefield Park
  • Round Five – 13-15 November 2015 –Sydney Motorsport Park
